Leslie groaned at Ben's answer. She knew he wouldn't go for it, silly goose that he was, but that didn't stop her from asking. She frowned, deeply, and sighed. Why did he have to be such a spoil sport, and be so cute all at the same time?!
"Fine... we won't go kill demons," she said with a roll of her eyes. She inched closer to Ben though, and took a hold of his arm. "I just feel so empowered after beating up the demons and closing the rift. I just want to do more," she said with such desperation before she fell backward onto the couch cushions. Leslie rested her feet on Ben's lap, and looked up at the ceiling. She might not have been comfortable enough to do this with him when she had been taken from Pawnee, now that she knew she was married to him in the future she was one-hundred times more at ease around him.
"This place is like a hundred times more frustrating than Pawnee, no, a thousand times. There's no government which already makes it crappy, no one here appreciates a good organizational chart, and on top of it all there's no diner with decent waffles. I'd make my own but I'm waiting on those scientists to make me a waffle iron. They looked confused when I asked them to make one."
Leslie propped herself on her forearms and looked over at Ben. He was adorable, and she was so glad to have him here with her. Not that she wanted to torture anyone with having to be here, but it was always better to have someone than to be alone. Not that she was alone, she had Andy and he was great! He saved her rear so many times that she might as well call him her personal bodyguard. But it was different having a friend around, and having someone that you were in love with. The idea that she was in love with Ben scared Leslie, though. She knew she had to be if she married him in the future, but she wasn't even sure how she felt about him where they left things. Like she knew she hated being away from him, but was that feeling love?
"You know I hate sitting still," she said to him finally. "I just want to feel in control again hence the demon killing." She shrugged a bit, and smiled. It was worth a shot, right?
