Team Knope
It figured that the night Leslie and Andy went to the Sleepy Hollow to pick up the rest of Ben's and Donna's things that they'd get trapped there. They should have known by now that the Sleepy Hollow was bad luck for them. First the severed foot, then being pelted by flying objects as they went back for Andy's guitar, and now this. She had learned in the past day or so that the scar on her hand and the demonic portal were connected. Whenever she was near one her entire hand would glow, and pain shot through her. It was like the rift was pulling her toward it, but Leslie Knope did her best to stay away. But she knew her luck would eventually run out. She sighed and looked down at her hand, glowing bright green to match the rift that was outside the exit. The pain wasn't so bad right now with adrenaline pumping through her veins. She needed to keep her family safe, but she really didn't know how.
She looked over her shoulder at them, and smiled as bravely as she could. "Okay guys, so there's a huge demonic portal out there, and no, I don't mean Eagleton," she said to lighten the mood. It sounded pathetic as soon as it came out of her mouth, but there was no taking it back now. She laughed it off, and blew out another breath. She was psyching herself up for this - she was going to face this like so many other challenges in her life - head on. She bounced lightly on her feet, and jabbed at the air in front of her.
"We got this guys. Let's just grab whatever weapons we can and run. We can make it back to the apartments in one piece," she said enthusiastically.
She peeked out the door at the demons that waited for them. Winged and blood thirsty, Leslie hoped that baseball bats and two-by-fours were going to do the trick against these things.
"Okay, anyone gotta go to the bathroom first before we head out?"
