No words reached Rosalind's lips, but her mind was beginning to fill with questions. What exactly had happened to them, to their device? The last thing she remembered was the sound of an explosion, and then the impact against the wall. It certainly was enough to knock her out, but what happened in the interlude?
She felt herself being lifted up, arms cradling her slight form. Rosalind still could not fully open her eyes, nor could she speak. The head trauma was severe - not enough to bring about death, but she would be concussed for another hour or two. She felt a dampness on the back of her head as well. She imagined it was blood, but could not be certain.
She had no control over where Loki and Tommy took her, but she supposed it did not matter as long as they were safe. She wondered where Robert was since she had not heard his voice. She hoped he was okay, but there was a feeling in her gut that told her otherwise.
