"I'm not that old." Though their earlier eras were somewhat more developed than back in the Enchanted Forrest in some ways more than others. Of course Jefferson obviously did like that sort of clothing because it's what he knew, he dressed as closely to what he'd wear anyways, because just because he wasn't in his world anymore didn't mean he wasn't going to be himself.
Though it didn't take a genius to see that not even some more light hearted sarcasm, directed towards himself no doubt, was just gliding right past her. The way she drew out her sentences, second guessed her thoughts, couldn't hold eye contact. He was curious to know how she could battle a dragon, yet this place was quite obviously making her very afraind. Jefferson supposed that all people had their fears. He particularly was very afraid of Wonderland.
Turning his head to face her, he inclined his head, debating on going through whatever exactly was bothering her to just get it out of the way, or, just take the easy route. Chances are nothing he said would convince her out of her fears anyways. Hell, he didn't even know anything about this place.
"How about I just come with you, considering I doubt you'd know what you'd need as far as books go either." Jefferson didn't know what kind of book she'd need, but maybe, just maybe something he'd heard of before would pop out at him. And it was just a nice excuse to say they didn't have to split up. "Besides. Splitting up here doesn't seem like such a great idea."
