"Then don't be." He said firmly, sliding the book back on the shelf roughly before standing. Glancing upwards he scanned the higher shelf that she wouldn't have been able to get to, turning his head to one side. "Not telling someone no when you don't want to do something is probably the worst mistake you could make." At least in his experience it was. "Everyone's problems don't have to be your problems. You found your kid, you found your parents. Do what you want."
Using the shelf for support Jefferson reached up to pull a book off the shelf, along with it, a generous puff of dust. He coughed and made a face, wiping the side of his face roughly over his shoulder before proceeding to look through the pages. "Of course they do. They've been stuck doing the same thing for twenty eight years. They have their daughter back, it's like they'v only been without you for a day. To them it'd be like wanting to pick up where they left off. Having the life they were expecting you to before sending you to the Land Without Magic."
On this subject he could infer well. Being a parent, wanting nothing more than to be with your child. It was here alone where he could empathize with Snow White and Charming.
"That's evil, put that away." The last thing they needed here was attracting more negative power.
