Leslie & Andy
Tally ho was about right. They plunged forth in their endeavor, er backwards rather. Their feet moving carefully through the debris that had begun to gather in the hallway. Leslie was far more coordinated than Andy, but that did not mean she could keep the table up once Andy took a tumble.
"Wh-Whoa," she exclaimed just as Andy stumbled, the table freed from his grip and descending onto Leslie's head with a THUD. She moaned as she landed on the ground, her vision blurry with distinct stars fluttering about above her. She never though seeing stars was real, but she could attest for it now. Leslie closed her eyes to stop the world from moving, and when she opened them she saw Andy approaching her. There were two of him, and she wondering why that was.
"Andy... twin..." she mumbled when felt herself being hoisted into the air and over his shoulder. The zig-zag movement did nothing to help her vision, and probably made things worse. She felt like she could have thrown up, but she swallowed it down only for Andy's sake. She didn't want to mess up his shirt.
They were definitely gaining more ground now that Andy was carrying her, and in no time they reached the safety of the room beyond the open door. It was dimly lit (or was that her concussion kicking in?), and in her stupor she was only able to make out a few items in the room. To be honest she wasn't even sure if they were real, and the only way to tell was to not be propped up on her friend's shoulder.
Leslie slid down slowly until she felt her feet touch the ground. She held onto Andy tightly, and rested her head against his chest. "Everything's still spinning," she said to him in a loopy sort of voice. "But you did it," she added with a grateful pat against his chest. "You saved us." Leslie really didn't want to open her eyes because she knew that the world would be moving too much for her to take it. "You're a hero."
