Anna and Ariel, Gingers United
"Feels like forever," Anna sighed, and the body heat helped - she was a snuggler by nature anyway - but she was definitely eager to leave and go back to her own place, with her own bed. And toss the covers over her head, rolling up in a pile of blankets to get warm. She, like Ariel, wanted to kick and punch this place into oblivion too.
But Ariel had better luck with her stomping than Anna did. In the dim light from the mermaid's helpful too, Anna could make out what looked like a...hole in the wall, toward the bottom. "Is that...?" She inched closer. "It's the laundry chute! We should go down, it's at least better than looking for a staircase that may or may not exist."
And they had to get to the first floor somehow. Wheee?
