Hook and Mercy, sometime later...
Hook wasn't as interested in the 'friendly' ghosts as his lady was. There wasn't anything there - they were empty spirits, if you looked into their heads he'd be willing to bet you'd be startled by the nothingness. Yet Ariel seemed to want to make friends with one, and she'd been trying with the little shit that had followed them back from the park - the one that had taken to pulling her hair and tripping her. Now, the ghost seemed to like Ariel and dislike Hook, because he kept getting poked by the spirit, like it was taunting him. Stupid fucking thing.
And of course now that she had a ghost friend, she wouldn't let him shove it back into whatever hellish existence it crawled out of, by using a bit of burning sage.
He'd come to the hotel to find Ariel anyway, free from the ghost which had luckily fucked off into the abyss for the time being. She'd been gone awhile and he was concerned. Not like he enjoyed the hotel - most of it was covered in dust and faded, like everything in it was simply stuck, left to decay in some strange experiment that involved time and lack of sunlight. But when he entered the place, something was distinctly off.
It was possessed, the whole bloody building. This didn't bode well. Especially after he dodged a wall sconce tossed his way, lightbulbs exploding, and it reminded him of visiting the hospital and how the whole place had been rattled by the spirits inside.
