Last order of business - Town morale
Rick's crystal blue eyes drifted to the linoleum floor of the club as Leslie made her very positive, almost too positive case. She was still thinking best case scenario. This woman hadn't endured the life he'd begun to--all realities were different here, he'd learned, and he couldn't fault her for that. There were still horrors she'd yet to see even here. But that morale she carried, they needed it, they were going to if there was a way back home to be found. "Yeah, I know that feeling pretty well."
Shifting in his seat some, he scratched the corner of his beard, considering her words in silence a moment more. "I s'pose that all comes back to your definition of the term real, Ms. Knope. We're all here and what we're experiencing is happening. Labels or acceptance be damned." Lifting his eyes back up to hold contact, he gave a small nodding motion with his head. "If you're gonna ask anyone, it'd be the mayor. He hasn't been of any help but he may give you the yes or know. How valuable his word is? Couldn't tell you."
