Hugging her best friend grounded her in a way that Lissa was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to explain and she was glad for the bond in that moment knowing that Rose could feel it. Her arms wrapped tightly around Rose, she knew that there was no way that she could actually hurt Rose by squeezing too tight. Lissa wasn't exactly known for physical strength.
If asked she'd say she was fine, but she even knew somewhere in her that she wasn't fine, that something was off, but she was having fun and that's all that really mattered right? Having fun was what life was about now and Lissa liked that, she liked not thinking, she'd done stupid things sure, but she was fine. Everyone made mistakes and that was just part of life. Right now though all that mattered with Rose and that she was actually there, they were both there, how Lissa didn't know and she didn't like it.
"It's okay." Lissa found herself saying although she wasn't sure she was sure she believed it, she believed that Rose was sorry, she just didn't believe that it was okay given that they were both someone in a place neither had ever expected to be and she hadn't seen Rose in what felt like a lifetime now.
