Mary Margaret thought on Leslie's offer, not knowing if she could really commit to something like that just yet. She didn't know what the job would entail, but she figured it likely would take up some time - Leslie undoubtedly had pinned a list of duties, as well - and she had to say that she enjoyed spending most of her days at the station with Emma. She'd grown far to comfortable seeing her daughter every day to want to give it up. Still, ruling it out completely seemed extreme. She did want to do good for the people here, and she was willing to try anything to accomplish that.
"We'll see," she said after pausing to think. She'd think about it, and maybe run it past Emma. These were the types of decisions that she wanted her daughter's input on. "I've got some thinking to do on it, but... we'll see."
Decision made for the time being, Mary Margaret went back to Leslie's lement, smiling at her kindly. "Don't be. I'm not alone here, and I'd much rather keep my friends and family company than for them to be stuck here without anyone else. We'll all get out of here together."
