Leslie lived to inspire people to see her way of things. She just knew that her ideas were better than other peoples' ideas, and she could always back it up with results. It was why people never minded how pushy Leslie was, and besides, Marrowood looked like it needed some of her pushiness and optimism. On top of it all Leslie had Mary Margaret on her band wagon of good ideas, and there was no stopping them!
"Yes, disappearing council members is a problem, but I think that's something we can deal with on a case-to-case basis." Leslie leaned forward against the table, eyes bright with excitement. "You know what we could do? Is have a term of three months," she said. "People might get bored voting every three months. I guess we could do it on a volunteer basis. No voting. People here don't seem to interested in government."
Leslie took a deep breath, and leaned back in her chair. She twirled her pen in her hand, and then tapped it against the paper. "You know," she said to Mary Margaret. "And maybe this is really depressing to think about, but we could always think about seeing which of the residents have been here the longest, and voting from that pool of folks." She paused for a moment, and wrote down her idea.
"I mean, it's depressing to think that we'll never leave, but maybe the people that have been here the longest have the most wisdom to give about living in this place."
