sorry for the slowness, lovely *hugs*
Mary Margaret was right, Leslie Knope had no boundaries. Boundaries were for wimps, and people who had no ambition, and that was not Leslie by any stretch. She pushed herself to the limit, and she knew that she pushed her colleagues in the same way. Excellence was achieved by doing, not by sitting around and waiting for something to happen. Leslie made her own luck, except with men. Yeah... she had very little luck in the relationship department. But that was a story for another day.
She smiled up at the woman that approached, and stood from her chair. "Mary Margaret," she said enthusiastically as she took hold of the offered hand. She shook it firmly. "It's so wonderful to meet you." She slipped her hand from Mary Margaret's. "Please have a seat," she said as she motioned to the empty chair. Leslie, too, settled back into her chair, and straightened the lapels of her suit. She was in proposition mode, and she was prepared to wow the hell out of her new friend.
"So Mary Margaret," she said as she leaned forward in her seat. "Tell me about yourself. Where are you from? What do you like to do? What's your favorite meal of the day?" These were all important questions in Leslie's mind because not only was she looking for someone to help her turn this town around, she was looking for someone to fill Ann Perkins' glorious shoes. She needed a best friend, after all, and Leslie had a good feeling about Mary Margaret.
