Isaac & Tommy
"There's a tang, in the air. It's not this strong in the town." He didn't always feel it, or taste it, but Marrowood had a general discomfort of magic, like there was always something prickling at the edge of Isaac's senses. It was worse in the woods, it got worse the further they went too.
The feeling of dread got worse too, because if they were being realistic, already dead was highly likely at this point, and possibly he and Tommy would be following not to long after them. It wasn't even like either of them knew where they were going. No stars could be seen through the trees to try and guide them home and Isaac was starting to feel like all his senses were dulled. Especially his hearing.
"Is that smart? I mean... I know you're fast but... what if something catches you?" Or what if something caught him while he waited? But then, it wasn't as if they had bundles of choices was it. "Lets see how big it is first."
Parting through the trees, turned out the clearing was less of a clearing and more of a large parting in the trees. A path maybe? But paths usually started somewhere and ended somewhere else, this one just seemed to suddenly appear in the middle of the woods. There was probably about nine or ten feet between the trees on each side, enough for a car, if there were cars in Marrowood, and as they stepped further into the 'clearing' Isaac could make out the faintest hint of tire treads.
