Jeanette & Hook
Maybe she should've brought a weapon. That might've been smarter, a weapon would at least mean she didn't need to get up close and personal to get her claws or teeth into whatever was there. Hmm, that was food for thought at a later date. Or the next time. If there was a next time.
Note to self: get a crowbar.
"Fight? Fight how? Leap at it and hang on. I could attempt to rip out it's throat, but I need all my limbs attached and I doubt it's really going to let me." Jeanette could already feel the exhaustion from using her attributes just a little too clearly, there was no way she was going to be able to dement anything in this state. "Okay, it's coming right towards us and I feel like this is a terrible plan. I'm just putting that out there right now, bad plan, terrible plan. We should climb trees and pretend to be monkeys."
Only there were evil things in the trees. "That's a bad plan too though."
It didn't take much longer for the thing to catch up with them, another tree flying off to the side as the giant hairy beast appeared, mouth filled with sharp teeth, eyes a harsh red under almost mountains of fur and the most awful stench that Jeanette had ever come across.
"I'm going to puke. I'm actually going to puke for the first time since I died, and then probably get eaten." Worst. Idea. Ever.
