Jeanette & Hook
She didn't really want to point out that right then she wasn't even the best that she could be here. Which was in no way near to just how powerful she should be. Crazy magic towns and all that. "Sword and teeth, sure, we'll hold our own." Maybe.
Maybe she could use her dementation, maybe she could make it hallucinate, but then there was no way to stop Hook from getting hit with that too. She really didn't want a hallucinating pirate with a sword prancing around the woods with whatever monster was currently stalking them through the woodland. That'd be like fourth worst thing on the potential things to happen right now.
"I can hear another heartbeat. Not that things. Another one." The monster seemed to have a heartbeat like a drum, and Hook's was racing right then, she could probably ramba to his, if she know how the ramba. But there was something else, deeper in the woods. "Or I might actually have kickstarted my heart with stress. Who knows."
The crack of tree sounded from their right before the trunk crushed down beside them, making Jeanette squeak in an utterly undignified manner for a vampire.
