Sherlock hadn't seen enthusiasm from the likes of Leslie Knope. The exhibition was tame by most accounts, and if Sherlock knew any better he might have run for the hills. But if there was anything about Leslie's enthusiasm that could be counted on was that it was infectious. She didn't put one-hundred and ten percent into everything she did, it was more like two-hundred percent. And try as people might to not fall prey to it she always managed to make people as excited about something as she was.
Leslie's mouth gaped open as Sherlock continued his observation. It was brilliant, and at the end of it all she held her arm out toward Sherlock for a necessary high-five. How could she not high five the man that managed to dissect her core personality in less than two minutes? It was amazing, and she wished her friends were with her so she could show off this man to them
"Come on, give it up. Give it up." She stood there waiting for him to give her a high five, eyes closed and head swaying as if she had just received some sort of religious epiphany. "Come on... you deserve this high five. That was amazing. I've never met anyone who can do what you do." She smiled brightly at him, waiting ever so patiently for him to high-five her because Leslie would not move until she got what she wanted.
The mention of blood resistant clothing made a single brow arch in confusion, but she made a "psh" sound and waved it off. "Blood resistant, schmud resistant," she said to him. "Nothing a little club soda and water can't get out. Unless it's dried blood then dried blood's a completely different matter and you really have to do a lot of pre-treating and soaking to get the stain out. Meat tenderizer works really well, too. Unseasoned, mind you. Seasoned and you're staining your clothes all over again. I learned that one the hard way." She shook her head and laughed at the memory. Ah Leslie, you are an interesting creature she said to herself.
When she returned her gaze to the man she realized that she hadn't even properly introduced herself to him. She held out her hand toward him. "Leslie Knope, Deputy Director of the Parks and Recreation Department in Pawnee, Indiana." She beamed at him, completely proud of her town and her role in making it a better place.
