"That...was a terrible idea," was the first thing Ariel choked out, teeth gritting to bear the sting of pain she'd finally felt once she was back on the boat and could finally sigh all that adrenaline out, the only thing that had kept her going. Most of the bleeding had been done in the water, though red streaks dripped still from the various bite wounds of various sizes.
Snow's tone had been final and all Ariel could do was nod in agreement, because she had no intention of willfully staying in pain. She slumped against the boat, fins and all, and tugged on her satchel.
"Didn't come out completely empty handed..." It was in there, whatever she retrieved, but now everything felt like jelly and she couldn't find the will to actually pull the tiny bag off her and rummage through it. She wanted to show them, but after some struggling attempts, she just gave up and sighed again, eyes drooping. "I got squid ink."
