Who: Logan and Jean When: Afternoon, October 6 Where: Outskirts of Ouijawood Park What: Getting some pumpkins because Wolverine is a man of his word Rating/Status: PG-13 for Logan's foul mouth / Incomplete
It was shitty luck (and HYDRA, he was convinced of it) that brought him to Marrowood, and only him. There were no other X-Men around that he had found, and none that had answered his open voice communication, and that was either a good thing, or a bad thing. Good thing - the rest of his team was probably safe. Bad - he was separated from said team and with no way of communicating with them he had no idea if they were safe. Additional bad - he had no way of knowing which way was out from this hell hole.
He had been warned against wandering into the woods, or even trying to find a way out of the town, but knowing Logan he would not heed those warnings. He would eventually plunge head first into the danger, and figure out along way what to do next if he did come across anything that he couldn't handle (which, in his lifetime, he had yet to find). But for now he was going to enjoy the quiet which the town had plenty of.
Wolverine had walked the length of the town, from the Sleepy Hollow Inn all the way to a park that was just touching the border of the forest. He found a lonely bench, and settled upon it. The playground in the distance looked torn apart, but that was neither here nor there. It just was, and it passed from Logan's mind the moment he pulled an already cut cigar from the inside of his leather jacket, and lit it up with the lighter that had made it with him to Marrowood. It tasted woody, but sweet, and he relaxed into the bench as he continued to smoke the cigar.
Despite his relaxed posture he knew he had work to do, and he made his way toward the pumpkin patch that had conveniently sprouted near the park. He bit down on his cigar, smoke billowing above his head as he knelt down to examine the pumpkins. He had a few ideas for the party. Not that he was going to go, but he could help out because he said he would. Logan had never gone back on his word, and he wasn't about to start now just because he was in this godforsaken place.
