"Huge hippies, San Fran to the core," Cosima even fluttered her hands slightly as she said it--but that happened a lot, the hands and words being paired together. "I'm bummed about the internet in general. It's like being booted back to the stone age. No google, no Netflix, nothing. I was hoping there'd be something really interesting to read, but..." She nudged one of the bookshelves with an elbow, and then gestured towards the rest of the library. "Curses, foiled again."
"Where-and-whenabouts are you from? Since it's apparently kind of optional to be from the same time and place," which was still kind of mind-bending, yes, but she wasn't going to dismiss the possibility that everyone or at least mostly-everyone here was telling the truth about their home realities. If nothing else, that was a really large number of people who were lying, all to what purpose? To fool her, personally? She wasn't ready to invest in that level of solipsism, not just yet.
