Information was exceptionally fluid in this place. What was once fact became myth, became history. And what was once speculation rapidly became truth became fear became death. It was difficult to track and assign everything, but the longer that they had the more likely the patterns produced themselves the easier it became to understand.
In theory.
"Organisation is key. The drive is vacant enough that the entire towns history can be input and stored. Once we have a working roster on people, I suspect it would be easy to monitor influx and population with a steady eye provided the pattern of appearance holds. That is that people often announce themselves on the network upon arrival. Keeping data on when and how people vanish will be the more difficult task." Because sometimes, you could just keep to yourself for a while, or sometimes, you just vanish and no one notices for a while. It depended entirely on the people.
"Notes on the town itself, anything that you notice or that catches your eye is important. I'd expect that you could put most of your notes online without problem." If they could compile a decent database then they could hopefully make sense of this place eventually.
With a little bit of tinkering, Velma was able to alter the settings on her own system and Stiles' device to allow wireless access from the hot points in the town, the hotel, station and apartments being the best for connecting. "That should be you. Nothing has been encrypted yet because... well, there's not been much need." Since it was just her and she doubted anyone would sabotage an attempt to learn about this place. "But we can later if we need to."
