Jefferson was no professionally trained agent in the matter but he had spent most of his life as an observer. Having lived with James for an extensive amount of time, nothing to go by as far as conversation, he had used body language and facial expression. The haunting part of that was that because they shared a face he could so easily determine the emotions that trailed across his twin's demeanor.
The corners of his mouth turned down, stepping closer with concern as James had flinched, eyes lifting to Loki, Clint, and then back to James. He wished he had the answers for him. The truth. He could only stand by as a false insurance.
Pouting at the obvious confusion on the Agent's face, Loki watched Clint from the corner of his eyes as he weaved a fancy lie to ease James' mind. This was a very unorthodox situation. Poor thing.
"Keep calm. Just give it some time, yeah? After a few more sessions you should understand fine. Patience." He patted James' cheek gently before letting his magic release once more, since confusion was all that the last burst had brought. They were getting somewhere.
