Hearing James admit to feeling empty cut Jefferson more deeply than he would have liked it to. Watching an identical copy of himself, speak the words in his voice, it brought back that feeling that he could identify with, the corner of his eye twitching ever slightly, eyes falling to the floor.
At least he could say that he felt something instead of answering robotically.
If there were going to be a time for lashing out, Loki was expecting it to be during the operating procedure, not after. Though he did suppose that he had given Bucky the ability to slowly remember his memories. Bit by bit. If he was going to return himself to a normal state of mind, recall and remember information as he should, then thus he would begin to remember things on his own without prompt of magic.
It was both a success and a surprise.
The surprise escaping his throat in a light eeep! as he felt his torso jerk downwards in a very ouch-like manner brought by what would seem like a special metal arm that was as strong as it was shiny. At least he was no hulk. Maybe like a Robo-Steve. Which was good because he'd made it a solid few months here without any black eyes or nose bleeds.
Loki's first instinct was to summon Gram and plunge it right into Bucky's chest but--that would have been an over reaction. He merely gripped the couch with one hand to lock himself in place in case Bucky wanted to play 'toss the god', his other hand grasping the metal arm with the intent to test it's...mettle. "Hello. Still just me." He blinked down as James eyed him as if in surprise to see that it was actually Loki. Oh, memory flashes.
"James." Jefferson was less urgent about requesting his twin not throw Loki or Clint. He was actually more concerned for James' behalf, as he never lashed out unless he felt threatened, but he contended to move around the couch as James released a very perplexed Loki, who adjusted his shirt, clearing his throat awkwardly. The Hatter sat next to James' side with less caution for more lashing out than he probably should have. "Are you still feeling alright?"
