But oh my heart, was flawed I knew my weakness WHO:Clint Barton & Loki & Bucky Barnes & Jefferson WHEN: Tuesday afternoon WHERE: Bucky and Jefferson's apartment WHAT:Mom and Dad fix the kid with help from mom's new boyfriend Loki tries some magic on Bucky's head while Clint and Jefferson supervise. Or something. WARNINGS: Probable swearing. STATUS: Complete
Clint wasn't even bothered by the 'can't do his job' bullshit anymore, to the point where he wasn't even considering it his job now. It was pretty obvious he was flying by the seat of his pants on this, but fuck that, of course he was. The last soviet assassin he'd had to deprogram from the brainwashing Red Room had occurred with trained specialists and telepaths, okay. This was brand new territory.
It wasn't even just the Loki situation, or the Barnes situation, or even Jefferson and his never ending sass that Clint might've liked if he wasn't such a smarmy shit in between times. Right that very second it was just a case of 'leaving it too late', like he'd had all the opportunities to get Barnes wired for sound or something. He wasn't the one getting killed and pretty much causing Barnes to body-sit for six fucking days.
But whatever, they were doing it now, right now. Because apparently Barnes was just shooting random people now and frankly, Clint was getting this on the road before Natasha could show up with her stupid ass smirk all 'I told you so', because then Clint would need to shoot himself in the face with his bow and arrow. Which wouldn't be fun.
Loki being dependable was a bit of a head trip itself, but so far so good and he'd pretty much come through in a pinch, so Clint was willing to curb the hostility for a while too.
Twenty or something turned into eighteen and a half, once Clint had bumped into Loki on the way and then barrelled up to Jefferson and Barnes' apartment, clunking his shoulder on a wall in the process before reaching to door. "Um... if they're expecting us, do we knock?" He actually had no clue -Jefferson was so man-mood-swing that he could get pissed off if they knocked or pissed off if Clint just barged in. "Fuck it," knocking had less chance of Barnes just fucking shooting them for no reason if what Jefferson was mentioning was that serious.
