Diana merely ignored Jefferson, confident in her ability to handle them both should he become a threat. Of course, there would be the personal issue of what to do if she ended up in a physical altercation with Emma's friend, but she would work on that if the situation arose.
No, right now she needed to focus on the next set of answers she had received. There it was again, talk of 'assets' and 'handlers' -- a relationship between the two that was similar to what had originally been set up between her and Steve Trevor? There was more, though, 'programming' and Diana nearly dropped the end of her lasso as a flash of pain filled her head, something she felt throughout her whole body on another plane of existence. There was a silent scream and she involuntarily grit her teeth, compelled to do so by something she didn't yet know.
Diana loosened the lasso hastily with a flick of her wrist, rescinding its power, before she turned to look at Jefferson. His condescension didn't warrant a response. Rather, she needed to focus on the matter at hand. Protection she could understand, but whoever this other man was, Diana knew that he had seriously misread the situation. There was more than that, too. He was damaged in some way, scared of something serious and significant.
"It's unsafe to the town at large to have him armed in this way. Are you comfortable taking responsibility should he have injured an innocent person who was incapable of defending themselves?" She paused, then added, softer, "He needs help."
