Robin categorized this woman in the 'not from Earth' box in her mind, nodding a little as she tried to pronounce the proper name of the Great White North. "New York is a big -- huge -- city, very urban and industrial. Kind of the opposite of most of Canada, my home country."
She was still mentally grappling with the fact that this woman didn't know what potato chips were, let alone gum, but it didn't seem as though asking would've been all that well-received. Maybe start small, just with the chips alone.
"Potato chips," Robin said, opening the bag and taking a chip for herself before she held it out to her. Marrowood was hell, but at least they had decent snacks. "Slices of potato fried until crisp."
