"It's something to do." Pinkie said with a bright smile, "I like baking and it seems this town likes to have me bake." A cheerful giggle escaped her lips as blue eyes twinkled brightly at Robert. "You and Rosalind understand science as much as I understand baking, in a way, we all seem to benefit here. You find answers, I'll bring the sustenance!"
With the permission to look around, Pinkie Pie was at her feet at once. As if her eyes couldn't get any bigger, she was trying to take it all in at once, "You sound so much like my friend, Twilight Sparkle. She loves science, studying and mysteries." Glancing over her shoulder she watched as Robert made notes in his notebook, "Then again, who doesn't like a good mystery?" At the mention of the fourth dimension, Pinkie Pie stopped at one of the work benches and tilted her head, "I remember reading about dimensions once. They're hard to even take in some times. I mean, of course the first three are easy to comprehend because we live in the third dimension.... Right?" She said a little warily, trying to recall if her facts are correct. "Could you imagine living in the tenth dimension? Universal time jumping, infinite possibilities of outcomes! Infinite time, space and worlds!!" Pinkie was getting a little excited, waving her hands dramatically to emphasize just how vast she was trying to make the tenth dimension sound.
"Come to think of it..." She calmed down a little, "In a way, this place seems like the tenth dimension. Everyone from different times, places and worlds, even different universes --" Her voice trailed off as she traced a finger along the desk. Pinkie Pie wasn't stupid, maybe a bit naive and hyperactive, but she wasn't as dumb as some might take her to be. She had an impeccable brain that remembered things some people would tend to forget. She had a knack for remembering numbers, dates, important information. She just sometimes got sidetracked with her thoughts.
When Robert said he was going to the hospital, Pinkie's smile faltered, "The hospital." She echoed and glanced around the lab, "It's dangerous. I haven't been there, but I've heard about the hospital... the doctors there aren't there to help you or heal you. I heard they do experiments and kidnap people against their will. And at night..." Pinkie shivered.
