Paranormal investigation was not something the Lutece twins did on a regular basis. They were scientists, first and foremost, and their realm was the world of experimentation and discovery. They had found, however, that ever since they arrived in Marrowood their scientific expertise was expanding into the realm of the abnormal. Physics was overlapping with the supernatural; science and reason was being overtaken by legend and lore.
The Luteces did not like the change, but they were, if anything, quite adaptable. And they had adapted very well, and it seemed as if the town, their ghostly landlord, or whatever it was that looked over them made sure their needs were met. They seemed to have a constant supply of spare parts and equipment for their lab, and whenever they assisted a towns person they would find compensation for the work they did the next day. It was working out quite well for them, but their comfort did not bring about complacency.
They worked harder and ever. Efficiency, along with precision and accuracy, were their greatest assets (apart from their intelligence, of course), and they were able to complete many things in the short amount of time they had been there. It was, therefore, no surprise to Robert that Pinkie Pie would be so surprised at their progress. He smiled when he heard her voice, and emerged from the back room to greet her.
"Miss Pie," he said. His hand was in front of his waist, and he bowed in her direction. "You are quite speedy with your delivery." Robert moved forward, and held out a hand to direct her toward their sitting area. It was more welcoming than their lab, after all.
"Thank you for the sustenance." He opened the box, and breathed in the scent. "They smell quite delicious."
