"I-..." He started, making a slight shrugging motion and averting his gaze to the ceiling before settling it back on Lisa. It was hard to lie to her face, but being dishonest was something he was only getting better at as time went on, and even if he may not have been improving on his skills in deceit he was definitely getting better at swallowing the guilt.
"That's just a hobby, you know, from when we were kids." Nothing but his slight rise in frustration gave away that he was lying, but the Lisa he knew had figured out all of his tics, and he couldn't help but wonder if the knowledge was still subconsciously hidden in there somewhere. That thought alone made him more rigid as he continued, but managed to quench the anger that was threatening to rise. Still, he couldn't help but tear his gaze from her, again, settling it on the floor near his feet.
"We hunted animals. Dangerous ones. Things that tried to kill people," His explanation was slow, trying to get through some kind of reason why he and Sammy had been acting the way they had and mentioning things that he still kicked himself for not making private on the device.
