She hadn't intended on being out in this. The siren, obviously, was to serve as a warning, and after the ridiculous nightmare that happened in the woods, Michonne wasn't in the mood for more of this place and it's insanity. It lasted exactly nine hours before she'd just stepped outside, sword already drawn, and took a wander through the streets.
Noting that every single one of the towns people vanished, every shop was empty, every light was dimmed, it felt like an entirely different place was upon them. The only things that came out were creatures more grotesque than any walker even Michonne had seen. The ones without arms were easy to dispatch, something Michonne was swift an effective with, her blade strokes just as precise and practised as back home. The things with hooks were a little harder and she'd discovered it was better to just avoid the spider like things.
She hadn't expected to meet anyone, but running into Daryl shouldn't have been a surprise. Brief discussion later and they were heading to the hotel; there wasn't anything to learn from these creatures, nothing they could provide answers to. Most of them didn't even have mouths.
Daryl's observation about the place was pretty much spot on, and Michonne was starting to be thankful that Carl wasn't here to fight through this on top of everything else he'd battled to survive. As much as she might worry, for both Carl and Rick's sakes, this was no place for children.
Which was why the sobbing proved to catch both their attentions. "Might be a lost... guest?" Was that what they were? It was a hotel. "All the towns people vanished." Which meant it had to be someone like one of them. "We should check." At the least, they could drag whoever it was back with them to the hotel and tell them to stay put.
Heading in the direction of the noise, Michonne kept her blade out, frowning slightly as she went, seeing through this din was almost impossible at times.
