Nodding her head slightly, Velma offer a small, potentially smug if you didn't know her, but really just a knowing smile. "Undoubtedly the difficult nature in which to see the monster, or creatures whichever it is, is in part a mind-game and part of it's cunning plan."
She'd seen the method before; the spooky hauntings, the creepy notes, the ominous warnings. Those were almost textbook. The style was a little different and the apparent motive didn't make a hell of a lot of sense to Velma. But then, what sort of motive was needed around here anyway?
"By allowing us only a perception of what he may look like, and I use he because of the depictions of a tall man in a suit, there is a degree of familiarity associated, however we do not know anything else, which allows our imaginations to fill in the blanks and draw a more full picture for us. These tend to not be literal and are simply the manifestation of our fears." Like the clown fear.
"A more accurate understanding on what it looks like would indeed cut down on the panic, and misconceptions and potentially allow for us to identify him better." Not that it seemed to be easy to see the thing. "If only it were that easy."
