A part of Jefferson wished he could hear an outward dialogue for all of the processing that James did. He could both feel and see his eyes, always watching, taking things in, considering, weighing. It was odd at first to be around what was physically himself aside from the obvious body enhancements but after awhile he just likened it to having a twin, which was perfectly normal. They just had different parents and completely different worlds. Definitely normal.
"Just Jefferson, please." He rolled his eyes lightly, blowing on the tea and watching the steam slowly disappear before taking a drink, eyes lifting to watch his twin with interest. Compliments, they'd gotten to compliments. Now surely that wasn't part of the programming, was it?
While it sounded entirely reasonable that whoever had brainwashed James would do such a thing as to include a stroke to ego, he'd made it very clear he wasn't to have an opinion or feelings on anything. Just to exist to do what he was told.
Smirking, pleased with the slight progress, however minimal, Jefferson set the tea back down and twirled his fork a little. "That's sweet of you to say, but it's just fish, very simple. A child could cook this."
