~Welcome;
Regardless of where you went to sleep, or what you were last doing, your first conscious thought is 'what is that digging into my back?' The answer is a small cellular device. It's plain and unassuming, like an out-dated cell phone (or in some cases a state of the art one, depends on your time zone), just lying right under you. This is where you'll note just where you are. A hotel room, a fancy one at that, definitely not where you last remember being.
There are the soft noises of a regular hotel around you, but a strangeness in the air, you know that something isn't right. The floor to ceiling window by your side is covered with a soft mesh curtain, allowing just a little light in, there's a dresser and television by the far wall, side table with a small piece of paper on it, bathroom just over there. It's definitely a hotel room.
When you get your bearings enough to sit up, look around, the paper on the side table catches your eye again, something compelling you to read it...
"Welcome, dear guest, to the Restless Reaper; check out is at 11am, late stays may use their room until 1pm. A bell boy will be along to assist with your exit if required. The mini bar is stocked and fresh, refills on the bar cost 100 coin and can be requested at the front desk. Please do keep a hold of your personal device, replacements are not cheap.
Please heed all civil courtesies within the city lines, we ask that all guests respect the staff and other guests, however force can be applied to those who do not adhere to this. No exorcisms after 10pm, pool is closed for maintenance after 7pm and meals stop at 6pm. Maid service depends entirely on the maid, the hotel does not take responsibility for any items or gifts left by the staff.
Please enjoy your stay in Grimoire."
Welcome, dear visitor, to Grimoire. Currently you are within the warm embrace of the Visceral District's beloved Asylum. Don't mind the screams.
Grimoire welcomes you to it's numbers, requests that you limit your destructive tendencies away from our city, or the bots which operate it. Please remember your manners.
Please, enjoy your stay in Grimoire.
