“What, because it’s creepy we have to go investigate?” she said, though she already knew the answer. Not only was it a resolute and unyielding ‘yes’, it was also the sole reason they really did much of anything on their little adventures. Creepy, dangerous, or unusual were three of the main things they tended to end up looking for, even if they didn’t fully realise it until they were actually knee-deep in the stuff.
The appearances of the new people caused Amy to push away from the wall and offer a friendly smile to the first person who arrived. She’d briefly spoken to Sam before, through the little network their devices granted them access to, and although she was somewhat taken aback by his hugely intimidating stature, she seemed glad to meet him nonetheless.
“Hello, Sam,” she said, brightly. She was quite nearly about to say something else when a woman came to them, and after hearing her name, Amy had to pause for a moment and stare at her.
“Gretel? What, like, Hansel and Gretel?” she asked a bit incredulous, without even thinking about it. Because honestly, who’d connect the candy-house-eating children to this weapon-wielding warrior queen? She glanced to The Doctor quizzically, as if expecting him to know the answer, but cut herself short when she saw The Other Doctor.
“Glad to see you made it!” she said. In spite of her friendly demeanour, she took a pause and made note of his eyes. Something about his eyes reminded her very much of her raggedy man, and she felt quite sad for him, though she didn’t reflect that feeling to her own expression.
When The Doctor began his rallying bits, she continued to eat away at the muffin until it was all gone. Brushing off her hands, she placed them on her hips and shook her head slightly at his explanation on differentiating between The Doctors.
“Bowtie,” she said, pointing to the Raggedy Doctor, her focus now on Sam and Gretel as she did. “Honestly, when in doubt, just say Bowtie and he’ll listen. I’m ready to go whenever, Doctor.” She looked back to The Doctor and gave a nod, crossing her arms over her chest.
