Gretel hadn't been completely convinced actually participating in this excursion was the best idea. Most of it was wanting to stay with Hansel, though there was only so much she could do to help out at the house they were repurposing- that was Hansel's department.
Another factor was the small voice in the back of her head that wondered if she wanted to know about the supposed 'people in the pizza'. She quieted it as much as possible, knowing for certain that yes- it had to be investigated and dealt with accordingly, but there was always that little shadow of it being yet another horror of this place she wasn't keen on accepting.
She emerged from the shadows within the hotel lobby just as the incredibly tall man was awkwardly introducing himself. This Sam had a lot of her attention as she stepped forward into the sun and the proximity to the rest of the group. Every bit of her gear except the too-hot riding coat was in place, from oak and iron crossbow strapped to her back, thick-hide corset, and old, well-worn leather everywhere. She and her brother were not creatures to leave hard-won possessions anywhere off their person.
In her hands, an old cloth went about polishing an eight inch curved fighting blade, one of two- the other waited in a strap attached to the belt that spanned her hips. She swung her eyes from 'Sam' to the red haired woman and her lanky companion. She gave them both a short, curt nod of greeting, and said only, "I'm Gretel."
