"That's cool," Stiles said. "I mean, if it was me, I'd totally rather go full wolf than lose my eyebrows and get a set of fangs that look like sharks were harmed in the making of this transformation." Not that Stiles wanted to be a werewolf at all. No, he'd be friendly with Ruby and maybe even more than friendly--okay, a lot more than friendly--but that didn't mean he wanted to be one. He couldn't foresee it ending well for him or anyone, and he had a feeling he wouldn't get as lucky as Jackson had.
"Our werewolves are full out slathering half-human beast people in two seconds flat. But like we've said, it's not a full transformation. I don't know how long the alpha form would take." He shrugged. "I only know two people who took on a full alpha form, and one was kind of off his rocker batshit when he did it. The other wasn't a werewolf." Plus, he wouldn't have trusted Peter to answer his question seriously if Peter's own life depended on it. And Stiles wasn't sure how a werecoyote related to a werewolf and their shifts.
He picked a fresh fry out of the basket and began pulling it out straight as he talked. "Probably your reverse transformation is exactly like your actual transformation, but in, well, reverse. But it might be a process that takes more energy or maybe-- maybe what takes energy is actually holding the werewolf form. Maybe your body has to struggle to keep the wolf in form so when you actually knock out from being too tired, and as soon as your concentration for keeping the form slips, your body auto-reverts?"
