“Depends on the person I guess,” he said with a shrug. “Relaxes me.” He paused for a moment and wondered if he should have explained the dangers of cancer and all that, but really, did it matter? This place was going to kill them anyway. Why bother explaining something as complex and involved as a sickness that destroyed you from the inside out? He pushed the thought aside.
“Don’t gotta try it if you don’t wanna,” he said, taking a drag and blowing the smoke out to the side, to avoid getting it in her face. He was being honest-- he didn’t intend to pressure her into it or anything.
