If it weren't for this door, Robin would've been close to just sitting down and accepting defeat. She was beginning to think that resistance was futile, that she was going to die in this stupid town hall with Lisa, someone she barely knew, and she'd never get back home or see any of her friends again. But as she grasped the doorknob, ready to open it when they could make a break for it, she felt as though maybe they did actually have a chance.
"This opens onto the road that I think is to the right of the Sleepy Hollow," she said, resisting the urge to squint as she tried to see through the small window in the door. Robin figured shining her flashlight out of it would bring attention to them. "We go left, we end up back in that damned park again. So I'll go right, you follow me, and I'll try to take care of anyone we run into. I'll go as fast as you need to go. Ready?"
