Not die was the answer that screamed in Lisa's head, amplified by the bright red and white lightning coming from her leg. She wasn't aware that it'd actually escaped her mouth as well.
The bullet knocked the creature back, exploding the back of it's head in a spray of grey and black. It dropped, and gave them another couple seconds before the others they could hear scraping across the road got to them. Lisa was on the verge of hyperventilating, but at least that expedited a healthy rush of adrenaline, which dulled the pain in her leg enough for her to think.
"We can't see, I can't run, and unless you got some secret pockets I can't see, I doubt you can shoot everything out here. If we stay in the open, we're definitely dead."
Taking a moment to look at the wall they were against (what she could see of it, anyway), Lisa swallowed and steeled herself to move, wincing as she made the attempt. "I think this is the town hall. It's gotta have some thick doors and windows. C'mon- just keep'em off us 'til we get there."
