Emma's eyebrows rose a little at the indication that she was old in his time frame, understanding that Jefferson wanted her to take everything with the quiet paranoia he had towards everything. Emma just shook it off and smiled, handing over the coffee.
"I um, I don't know how to take it, so it's black, but I have creamer and sugar?" She decided then and there that she much preferred knowing the people from her own world. There was less uncertainty, and she at least had a working idea of who they were.
"Okay, so," she needed to not let this settle into some awkward pause, because she knew she'd start rambling if that were the case. "You've probably seen the hotel right? The restaurant is just down there, it's a little bit iffy at times, but stick to what you know, don't try the mystery meat and you'll be fine."
