Well. That was a start- a much better one than how this complicated conversation started. Gretel breathed out a small sigh, tipping her head in quiet acceptance of the apology. The notion of him 'not always' having full control of his mind weighed on her thoughts, but she pushed them back in favor of taking things one step at a time.
"It's alright," she offered while slipping by him into the room. "It's one hell of a culture shock you just came through- plus, my brother has impulse control problems, also." And it was a good thing Hansel hadn't chosen five minutes ago to walk down the hall- that would've been bad for everyone on this side of the building.
She hit the basic mechanics of the 'modern amenities' without too in-depth an explanation, partly because she knew too much too soon wasn't the best idea, partly because much of it she didn't understand herself. She showed him the light switches and gave a brief run-down of the bathroom devices, doing her best to leave the more intrusive functions for him to fill in the gaps. It was more than a little strange, considering- she just prayed there were no ghosts in his room, or at least if there were, they would let him settle before making themselves known. Finally, back in the main living-space, she swept his communicator and map from the bedstand and handed them over.
"This is an outline of Marrowood- it covers the whole of the village, and the extent to which any of us have been able to explore. Heed the warnings- my brother and I have been here for months, and trust me, they're not frivolous."
