Alright, so Tracy had a sense of humor. She wasn't just some sleaze with daddy issues. Not that Barney thought she was, but behind her admittedly cool jokes, she was a smart person. Kinda like Ted.
"I'm sorry, what was that? I must've fallen asleep because I thought for a second I heard the original script and synopsis for Lame Wuss, the movie." Of course he laughed at his own joke too, because Barney knew Ted was the 'good' guy. The one that wanted a serious relationship, built on things like trust, respect--ew. Things that just gave Barney panic in his gut and make him shiver from neck to spine.
"No offense..if..boring's your thing. I'd like to enjoy my life, be awesome, not worry if every girl I so happen to fall in love with is going to wanna get married and have kids or be 'the one' and all of the other things Ted's made himself sick over for the past few years." It was gross, really. What a waste of time. It's not like anyone who Barney cared about, which he didn't, took him seriously enough to consider he'd have feelings. Not that he cared, but, it just wasn't going to happen for him. Why try. He wasn't Ted, and he didn't want to be.
