Lisa almost dug her heels in, like a dog that didn't want a bath, on the way to go meet her prospective new employer. She'd heard plenty of the kidnappees here say that the 'people' around Marrowood were plenty hospitable as long as you were nice to them. Lisa didn't plan on being hostile toward them, per se, she'd rather just avoid them all together. That, unfortunately, was pretty impossible, which is why she allowed Robin to nudge her in the right direction, and forced a hopeful smile aimed at Ghosty Joe.
The pause that followed felt like it should smell sour, but eventually the old man nodded. Once. Then went back to staring at his newspaper.
