Just when life after death and a mysterious harbinger from the future was starting to settle down, Friday the 13th came around. Robin had never been a superstitious person, but this was Marrowood. She wasn't about to push her luck. So Robin made sure to keep an eye out for black cats, ladders, and broken mirrors, and she even refrained from swearing at the ghost dog in her room when she woke up.
She made it to her shift at the general store without anything happening, which was a good sign, but Robin didn't think it was time to let her guard down. So she burned some incense and threw salt over her shoulders, all of that dumb stuff she'd always written off as bullshit, and settled down behind the counter for a long boring day in ghost town.
A few hours into her shift, Robin glanced up at the sound of the door opening and startled somewhat at Lisa's face. She liked the other woman well enough, but they had the worst luck together and the last time she'd seen her, Robin had died. "Hey there," she tried, forcing a smile. No, she hadn't been avoiding Lisa, but... What were you supposed to say after you drowned in front of a person?
