“Huh,” she said, still mildly surprised at the thought of having to work for something. “That’s a good point. There doesn’t seem to be a lot in the way of options when it comes to things to do here.”
But there was something that was nagging the back of her mind. The more he talked, the more she felt there was something else to him. Again, he was so nonplussed by the Tears she made that she found it curious to know why that was. She studied him for a moment before speaking again, this time her voice a little more confident.
“Do you have a means of travelling through different worlds yourself, Jefferson? If you don’t mind me asking.” There was no point in trying to avoid the question for long, and it was better for her to just get it out of the way.
