Likely enough, Velma wouldn't know what to do with the old sensibilities of chivalry, least of all when Daphne wasn't there for it all to be aimed at. Taking the offered hand in a firm (for her anyway) handshake, Velma settled in her seat, and pulled out a notepad and pen rather than her laptop straight off the bat.
"That's entirely understandable. For most the concept of hauntings, ghouls and monsters is just a fable that they tell as stories around a camp fire. It's not surprising that the first reaction is that of disbelief." Velma had been interested in the mystery genre since she was a child, working with Mystery Inc just increased it ten fold.
"My friends and I have been solving mysteries for a few years now, it's a hobby. Most often, the culprit of the false mystery is brought to justice following the careful and planned investigating. Which is why I'm glad you wanted to talk, any details can, of course, help in figuring this all out." Velma wasn't yet convinced that it wasn't a really large scale plot. Without the group, she'd need to work doubly hard, but she was sure she could get through it.
"So, possessions. Could you be a little more specific as to what that entailed?"
