While Parker seemed mostly unperturbed at the unnecessarily rude behavior, Lisa's nerves were buzzing in a very uncomfortable way. Slightly slack-jawed, she stared at the back of the man's head- he wasn't even doing anything. He just... stood there, with his back turned. It reminded her strongly of the way characters in some of Ben's video games acted; what did he call them...
NPC's. Parts of the programing that were only designed for certain things. Of course, this wasn't exactly a part of real freakin' life- she pressed her lips together in a straight line, and tried to shrug it off like Parker. They turned for the door, but the two young people near it had her attention first.
"S'cuse me, guys-?" She had her locket open, and stooped at the waist in order to show it to them. "Have you seen this ki-"
"NO. We haven't." The girl barked. Lisa, who's nerves were already damn shot from being here in the first place, squinted at her.
"If you would just look--- WHOA-!"
Before she finished talking, Lisa jerked back from the table like she'd seen a spider two inches from her face, or been jabbed with a cattle prod. Her feet barely caught up with her three shuffles back, but it was an empty table that kept her from falling on her ass- her expression; shock and terror. Didn't help the moderate heart attack she'd just suffered- and it was still going on.
Their faces- when she was still looking at both of them, they'd changed into something Lisa had only imagined in her nightmares. Distorted horribly, and evil- her breath stuck in her throat like heat behind her ribs. When she blinked, their faces were normal again.
