Making a serious effort to keep her heart out of the pit of her stomach, Lisa had no choice but to follow the blond's advice. Didn't matter if the voice in the back of her head was getting louder; wake up wake up wake the hell up. Whether it was real or dream, she seemed to be stuck here- and either way- she had to find Ben.
"Yeah- uh, baseball this season. Wrestling just ended. Soccer isn't for another two weeks." Her voice took on a hollow recording kind of sound, as she listed off her son's extracurricular activities from memory, like any good mom. Coming up on the corner, a line of little shops came into view, populated by more scattered residents, who didn't look at them, or each other. The vague smell of food was on the air, but for some reason, it wasn't comforting.
