It was eerie, how silent and still the town was, considering the carnage of a few hours before, the noise and screams, the uncertainty of a few. Now it was like your average town, with the added kidnapping and hostage taking thrown in for good measure.
"We all look like death standing." And it wasn't really a stretch. Michonne had been surprised that some of them had managed to walk out of the station rather than just sleeping on the desks themselves. Although for some, sleep likely wouldn't come easily, Michonne wasn't one of them.
She was weary and bone tired, half from used up determination and half from constant action. "I think for strong and resilient, you'd have to rest once in a while, have a proper meal. You know, like the rest of us." For all his worrying about them, someone needed to make sure he was resting too.
