Ted / Lily
Peering ahead of them at the pair of buildings and orienting their sudden appearance with the map of Marrowood in his head, all while still running at top speed -- basically, it wasn't as easy as they made it look in the movies. "Right!" he yelled.
They veered in the correct direction without breaking stride and Ted chanced a look over his shoulder. A wall of shadow followed them, swelling in size as it closed in on them, and whatever was hiding inside it was still growling. He couldn't fathom any way for both of them to get away from it, but if they could just get close enough to the station, he might be able to get Lily back with the rest of the group that had crossed over.
"Left!" Ted shouted, as the next turn came up. "There! That's it!" He pointed. The station lay a block away. Certain that there was no way she could get lost again now, Ted slowed his pace just enough to let a gap begin to grow between him and Lily. Two steps apart. Three steps apart. Five steps.
Ted stopped running and the darkness swallowed him, the growls turning to laughter in his ears. It didn't matter, as long as Lily made it.
